Two Fox Cabins is just a short drive away from many premier destinations in Southern Colorado. Here are some of our personal recommendations for daytrips during your stay!
Bishop Castle is unlike any structure you’ve ever seen. Made “by hand” by one man, this castle is a place you won’t want to miss seeing during your trip. Please exercise caution when visiting, as the castle is an open construction site. There are no guided tours of the castle, but feel free to explore on your own—for free!

Located just blocks from Two Fox Cabins, the Francisco Fort Museum holds a lot of history in just a small space.
As stated by their website, “For over fifty years, the Fort has served as the repository of the heirlooms and artifacts of the Cucharas Valley. Today, the Museum comprises not only the Fort itself, but a collection of important buildings from around the area including a saloon, blacksmith shop, school house, and mining museum. Its collections include treasures from local Hispanic heritage, Native American cultures, agriculture, railroad, pioneers, and industry. Its arrowhead collection is one of the finest in the country.”
